Gone fishin'

Papa Russ took us fishing the other day about 15 minutes away from the ranch (at a beautiful fishing hole) and the kids caught 11 fish. We had so much fun and it brought back so many childhood memories for me. I haven't gone fishing since I married and moved to California. I had forgotten how peaceful and rewarding it is.
I noted a few things about my children:
Abraham is very impatient...he would cast out and real in, cast out and real in. It worked for him though, he caught 2 fish.
Gabrielle is very grossed out by the whole thing, but when she puts her mind to it, she can do just about anything...she also caught 2 fish!
Ezra is very annimated and every little thing about the fishing trip was exciting to him. He had us all laughing the entire time! With a little assistance, he caught 2 fish.
Isabelle....ah Isabelle, she is so very patient and quiet and would sit there even when her line floated to the shore. Her patience and perserverance paid off with 3 fish!
Sophie loves her papa and was content to sit in his lap and touch all the fish.
When we got home, everyone participated (although some not all that willingly) in gutting and frying the fish. They were so yummy!!
