I did not want to post this, but...

So, I really didn't want to post this, but after reading my dear friend at the Haner Home, I thought I should share. This is the comment I left on her blog:
I have been blogging about hospitality, and this morning at 7:45 the cable guy that called Phil and he forgot to tell me showed up...while all the wonderful things my kids do everyday were in motion...they were all dressed with their teeth brushed, chores done, breakfast mess cleared...I think I overlooked one thing in being ready for company...MYSELF! The poor guy probably thought to himself, "I hope my wife doesn't let herself go like that!" (She is prego I found out) He probably didn't give a root-a-toot-toot about my hospitality, it was my bed head while giving him a warm smile, my very fancy sweats that Sophie had just dumped her oatmeal on even though I was standing in a clean house, and bad breath while asking him if I could pour him some coffee that left its impression!! ;) Love you my friend! You always bring a smile to my face!
Yeah...like I said, it doesn't always go as planned, but it is good to have goals...right?
All you moms are so fabulous and doing a wonderful job...hey, we are all in it together!

It is a good thing that life is a journey and that we do not have it all figured out or we would not place our focus on the Lord and depend upon His grace for the day. The Lord has His way of humbling us and making us more like Himself and that is good. I, too, have to admit that what happened to that mom also has happened to me.
