Cattle Preg Testing

You heard correctly...my mom and stepdad had their preg testing of some of his cattle and we all got to be a part of it. He put 6 bulls out with the cows 90 days ago and then brings them in to see if his efforts were successful...He only tested 70 head, but only three were what they call dry. It was really neat...gross, but neat. The vet, thankfully, does the testing, but he would let us all look at the ultrasounds. Our job was round up...which is pictured directly below, and then making sure the cows went through the shoots. Phil decided to preg test me and what do ya know...we found baby number #6!!
Ezra is supposed to be keeping and eye on the cows.
We were all a little shocked to find this in the pen! My brother's and I were able to get it out of the shoot and cut off the head. Did you know a snake can move up to an hour without it's head!
Isabelle got to keep the token of love it left for us!
Just another day in the life of Montana!
