Homestead Happenings:

Gabrielle with her dance partners!
Gettin' the golds!
Gabrielle and I were completely surprised to have Phil walk into our hotel room this weekend at dance competition!! He had so much work and it was a 5 hour trip so we knew he would not be able to make it...but, at midnight on Friday we heard a soft knock at the door. I thought it was the security guard my mom called because someone decided it was great to do aerobics at 11pm in the room above us, but it was my Phily...what a great dad!! Gabrielle didn't know until she woke up in the morning and saw him sleeping in the bed...she was so very excited!!

Gabrielle brought home 2 more golds!!

All of us got the stomach flu followed by a head cold...thus the reason for me not getting on the computer for a few days...they have been consumed with blowing noses and dumping barf. YUCK!

I gave Canaan his pulse ox test last night, and I think he will be off oxygen this weekend...Praise the LORD!!! He looks so cute with his cannula out. He has ENORMOUS nostrils like Abraham ;)

Gabrielle is a girl after my own heart...she has been given clothes room duty, and decided the way to make sure everyone gets their clothes and shoes put away is to offer an awards chart. She is giving them a sticker everyday they get everything put away and after a month of stickers, she has the clothespin in the mason jar set up for them to play. Each clothes pin in the jar equals a little treat. Cute huh?...and it's working!
Ran out of stove oil for the heater...Phil had to get the tank filled. Then the weather turned nice and we didn't need the heater ;)
Ran out of water...Phil had to get the cistern filled. Poor guy, no rest for the weary...or as he said, "no rest for the wicked." Hey he said it! ;)

Isn't it wonderful to have such awesome husbands?! What a blessing! I'm so excited to hear that Canaan is making great progress. What a cutie!! Sorry to hear about the stomach bug. We have been fighting seasonal allergies here w/ the pollen counts above 10,000 lately. YUCK!!
Blessing to all,
Charity
